George Beard materials: 7 cartons of art and art history books, ca. 1850s to 1920s; 1 carton of glass plates (exposed and unopened boxes); 2 cartons of photographic prints by Beard (early 20th century); 2 cartons containing two early 20th c. cameras; 1 artist's easel and 1 camera tripod; 5 paintings (some may be by Paul Beard); 1 carton of lithographic prints. Paul Beard materials: 3 hand made musical intruments and ca. 1930s adding machine. Coalville Cooperative Records: (later Paul's Grocery Store), ca. 1890s to 1940s. George Beard est. the coop and his son continued the business later under this personal name. 2 cartons of business records and 1 carton of legal and land records of the coop. This is the final installment of an existing photography collection (Mss p-3 which has been combined with this accession and recataloged as Mss. 2226).

George Beard was an early Utah artist, photographer, and legislator. He owned the Coalville Cooperative. Later he sold it to his son, Paul, who changed the name to Paul's Grocery Store.
